The most delivered twin-engine in Brazil! According to April 2022 data from the Brazilian Aeronautical Registry (RAB), among the piston aircraft manufactured as of 2018, the DA62 already accounts for 66% of all twin-engine aircraft registered in Brazil. The data becomes even more significant when we consider that the Diamond DA62 was certified by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) in May 2017. That is, in just 5 years the aircraft began to dominate the twin-engine market in the country. The DA62 is also at the top of the world ranking of twin-engine aircraft, following the Diamond DA42 model, as attested by the GAMA - General Aviation Manufactures Association, 2020 report, consolidating the quality and preference for Diamond Aircraft's twin-engine aircraft.

Single-engine performance

The DA62 can maintain positive climb ratio at its maximum operating weight up to 13,000 feet. With this exceptional margin, even with only one engine running, it is able to continue the flight safely. The DA62's technology offers the latest in aviation cabin technology for the operator. The aircraft is equipped with Garmin's Electronic Stabilityand Protection (Garmin ESP), an electronic stability and protection system that helps the pilot avoid abnormal and possibly dangerous flight situations. The operational parameters of the engines are constantly monitored and regulated through electronic control units, preventing operation outside the desired parameters, thus preserving safe flight and keeping the operator informed throughout the operation.

Austro engine and propulsion

The Austro Engine AE330 DA62 series engines are one of Diamond Aircraft's greatest prides. They are 180HP turbo-charged, direct injection, jet fuel consuming piston engines (JetA-1, also known as Aviation Kerosene). To control these engines, the aircraft has the Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system, which allows all engine operation to be done by a single control lever, without the need for mixture control and propeller pitch control, common in other aircraft in this category. With the DA62, starting the engines is easily done by pressing a simple button. This ensures less workload common to the simplified operation, bringing more safety and allowing the pilot to focus on other parts of the flight. The DA62 uses MT-Propeller's 3-bladed, constant-speed composite propellers, which feature advanced geometry for efficient performance and very low noise. In addition, Austro Engine engines have their Time Between Overhalls (TBO) with 1800 flight hours. Service is always performed at the Austro Engine factory and the engine is replaced with an Austro Engine Rebuild in exchange for yours. This policy allows Diamond to evaluate each engine received and guarantee excellent safety levels.

Towards a more sustainable world

Looking into the future, compared to aircraft with conventional gasoline engines, a Diamond Aircraft emits much less CO2 and consumes up to 60% less fuel compared to competitors. Consuming less and contributing to a more sustainable world is possible with Diamond.

Avionics and dashboard

All technology in the Diamond DA62 is transferred directly to the cabin. The glasscockpit is equipped with the Garmin G1000NXi installed as standard, which offers state-of-the-art technological features similar to those used in large passenger aircraft. Diamond comes standard with Garmin's GFC700 three-axis autopilot system with Yaw Damper, the Garmin FlightStream 510, for easy uploading of flight plans to the aircraft. As an option the DA62 has Avidyne's TAS 605 traffic alert, Garmin Synthetic Vision, Garmin GWX70 weather radar, StormScope WX500, auxiliary oxygen system, de-icing system, among many other available options.

Room and comfort

The DA62 has an elegant and incomparable design, bringing a new concept in first-class cabin, luxurious and ergonomic. Comparable to the size and comfort of an SUV, space is maximized for up to seven passengers with luggage. The DA62 comes with two generous, adjustable front seats, a folding seat, three seats in the second row, and an optional two-seat folding seat in the third row. The design highlight is the aircraft's gull wing doors, which give the DA62 a distinctive design, ensuring comfortable access for all on board through the two side doors, which provide access to the first row, and the huge rear door that provides access to all second and third row seats.

Options and accessories

It is possible to customize the Diamond DA62 through the wide variety of options, exterior colors and accessories, creating the perfect aircraft to match one's taste, lifestyle and needs. The paint job of the Diamond DA62 is fully customizable with the layout of the customer's preference. Besides ensuring an incredible design, the paints used by Diamond Aircraft were specially developed to help dissipate heat and static of the aircraft during flight. It is also possible to choose from various options the premium finish for the interior of the aircraft, as well as optional systems and equipment such as air conditioning, sheepskin seats, tablet holder, removable controls for the copilot's seat, and much more. The DA62 also offers electrically adjustable foot pedals, LED interior lighting, reading lights for all occupants, USB outlets for pilots and passengers, power headphone connections for noise suppression systems, cabin air heating, and a multitude of comfort-related options.

Simplicity in maintenance

The Diamond DA62's maintenance occurs only every 100 hours, which provides greater economy and availability, so the operator can enjoy longer periods to use the aircraft in his operations. Besides that, Austro Engine engines have their Time Between Overhalls (TBO) of 1,800 flight hours, reducing the aircraft's time on the ground due to engine maintenance. Service is always done at Austro Engine factory to offer maximum safety.
